Construction work started on this beautiful category 1 heritage listed building with the laying of the foundation stone on March 15th 1927.
The chapel was closed after the September 2010 earthquake.
QCStonemasons role in the restoration of the chapel involved; deconstructions of the Oamaru stone Chancellor arch, Rose window, brick work inside and outside and the Oamaru capping.
The Oamaru and brick was cut back to allow for a lightweight veneer which was cladded to the new concrete structure.
It was a great honour to have played a role in the restoration this beautiful building.
